DISCRIPTION
The Lieutenant is the second highest executive rank. As such, the Lieutenant acts currently as the second officer in command (2IC). The Lieutenant is the most senior advisor of the Captain and assumes command when the Captain is on leave.
The Lieutenant takes care of the day-to-day operations and administration of the unit. The Lieutenant supervises all unit departments and the unit's administration. Lieutenant typically handles disciplinary questions and reviews promotion recommendations, before submitting them to the Captain. Last but not least, when the Captain is on leave, the Lieutenant assumes command on the battlefield as Platoon Commander.

The unit's ORBAT currently lists one Lieutenant commission. Meaning if there is an active Lieutenant, no other members can be promoted to the rank.
Promotion requirements:

36 or more months of active service

extensive experience as a battle/platoon commander

excellent leadership, and administrative, skills

must embody the unit's ethos of commitment and teamwork
